Meeting Minutes 09/10/2017

Class rep meetings this week: Wednesday 11th for 1-3rd and Thursday 12th for 4-7th at 11:10 in B002.

Cake sale this Friday at break in B block - Liza will give it to Katarina before school.

Meeting with the new director on the 20th of October at 11:10! It’ll be in the admin building, with the Parents’ Association if possible. Please leave class 5 minutes early to be there on time.

We’ll probably alternate between meetings on Mondays and Tuesdays in the future.

Leisure:

-1-3rd year party on the 10th of November. There’ll be a costume competition. The Merite de Jeunesse wants to be more involved. We’re also thinking of paying ASF at the end of the year, because we do all the work and make no profit. Last year Lux 2 bought food and drinks from Auchan, we can do that too. We’ll need volunteers. This year we need to organize the coat tickets better, we need more. We’ll sell tickets after the holidays.

  • 16+ meeting tomorrow.

  • LuxFactor - start working now because the school gets annoyed if we book it late.

Cosup:

  • Accredited schools are annoying the commission because they don’t pay, but we think they should have a voice. The VP is from an accredited school and there’s some issues with that.
  • We have 3,356 students in ESL 1, so maybe in the long term we could have a 3rd school.
  • CoSup awareness (sounds a bit like an STD) is important, we could show a video that was made to explain it at a future class rep meeting and next year to everyone. Marks, can you change it to be about our school?
  • When we need money, we could crowd fund for the PC.
  • New marking scheme will phase in next year.
  • Are religion/moral lessons in L2 a good idea? We talked about it but no conclusion was reached.
  • L3 might start in 3rd year of Primary, we decided it was a good idea.
  • ES newspaper.

’Europarty’ in Luxembourg! (Don’t mess up, guys). We need a venue and a proposal by the next Cosup meeting. It could change into a festival by next year with the graduates too. We’ll have to change the name to distance it from last year’s, we need ideas. We’d only take care of buses if we have it outside the city.
