Meeting Minutes 05/02/2018



The PC is back to work!

We have Class Rep meetings at 11:10 on Thursday the 8th (1-3rd year) and Friday the 9th (4-7th year). I’ll email the class reps and the councillors. Topics to discuss include:

  • Everything that happened at the Conseil d’Education -Everything that happened at the Conseil d’Administration
  • Everything that happened at the Canteen Committee meeting
  • Everything that happened at the Library Committee meeting
  • That students have to be more social and talk to each other at the canteen
  • We’ll bring up prom and see what happens
  • I’ll make a post on the Facebook group so we can make a list of the rest

We really need to get started with the socialising in the canteen posters.

Library:

  • Madalena is going because none of the Conseil Representatives can
  • It shouldn’t close of the librarian is absent, there should be a replacement system (at least during exams)
  • We need a colour printer
  • It’s the librarian’s last year so whether she’ll continue at this school will be discussed. I heard that there’s a petition going around the students to keep her, I’ll go tomorrow and see what else I can find out about that

Hoodies:

  • Pink will take a long time because Mr Copy’s suppliers ran out. This could take a while, but we won’t give out the other colours until we have pink.
  • Sara and Kadri are doing PC Hoodies, they’ll be in yellow. Marks proposed a design, I made another and Sara is working on one. We’ll have a logo on the front and names on the back.

Valentine’s Day disco:

  • It’s this Thursday (!) at Lux 2.
  • Decorations: Lux 2 has some decorations, we’re supposed to get balloons but they could be popped like they were at the Halloween disco.
  • We have to remind people that it’s on a Thursday when we sell the tickets.
  • Still go to your shift if it’s during a class rep meeting.
  • We might get getting roses.
  • All the money will go to the ASF because Lux 2 has no choice in the matter.
  • The volunteers are Katarina, Sara, Silke, Liza, Helena, Guoda, Adrian, Tristan and Antonio.

We might be getting a tablefootball thing for the 4-5th year room.

Euronight:

  • Tickets have to be ordered this week.
  • The tickets have to be distributed between all the schools. There’ll be 800 or 900, our PC thinks 800 is better but that means less tickets for every school.
  • Marks, Katarina needs the contract.
  • We need to put pressure on CoSup to get things going.

Football tournament: We’ll get a date in May

On the 16th of March we have the St Patrick’s 16+.

For LuxFactor we need four judges and two presenters. We need to have a limit on the mean things the judges say, especially to the younger years.

Newspaper: We’re not having an advert this time, we can just have an article in Edition 16.

Next year we should encourage more people to run for the PC and have lots of bright posters, the more people that apply the better.
